Where can I find an old used Remington 700 action? or an old wore out rifle?

Local pawn shop is your best bet.  The barrel and stock are just there for the ride anyway.

For smart shoppers they can be found anywhere. Gunshows are probably the place they are found most often, but I purchased a Rem 700 30-06 last year right here off the Equipment Exchange for $300 and it was un-fired.

With Brownell's selling receivers alone for around the $400 range any Rem 700 found around $250-$300 bucks is a good deal.
