Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Buffer spring strength?

Hey guys
i just bought a collapsible stock for the ar (dont worry im not doing anything in violation of assault weapons ban) and ive found that the spring is pretty err, how should i say, bendable?

Ive noticed the spring in an m16a2 is much more stiff, as if its really hard to bend sideways, while the spring in the collapsible stock is pretty easy to bend around.

Did i get jacked by the gunstore? or is it supposed to be that loose?
