Looks like a M68 Aimpoint to me.
There is something else behind it though that is indistinct.

M16A4 with M68 Aimpoint mounted on the M5 RAS, with a detachable carry handle mounted behind that.  What appears to be mounted forward of the Aimpoint I believe is actually one of the Infra-red laser modules (not up on my latest designators on those) mounted on the left side of the handguards.

I agree with Graffiti, AN/PEQ2 Infrared Pointer/Illuminator, it would go with the night vision attached to the helmets.
