I've got an uncle who's been into firearms for more then 225 years. He owns about a half a million AR rifles and he recommends CLP. I trust his judgement.
What the compelling reason for not following Uncle Sam's recommendations? |

IIRC, the Soldiers and Marines operating in dusty environments were less than pleased with the effects of super-fine sand and the usual mil-spec lubricants, which includes a version of CLP.
If anyone knows of an approved dry lube for ARs and firearms in general, which can adequately replace CLP, I'd like to hear about it. It would be nice if the selfsame dry lube was suitable for arctic conditions as well. |

If you buy into the propaganda by Militec1, they've switched to it in cold and dry, dusty conditions.
