I believe the Brigadier has the 1911 style frame.

? If you're referring to the 1911 style safety, I think that's the Combat model. I've got a plain old 96 with Mec-Gar adjustable sights and a Hogue grip on it. The Brigadier would differ only in the beefed up slide. A regular 96 will suffice for carry duty. |

I think the sights are better on the brigadier. The front sight is not part of the slide as it is on the 92FS, therefore the installation of night sights would be easier.
