Hi Everyone

I am new to this board and as you can see by my screen name, I am an AK lover. Now befor eyou all ban me from this site, I also have 3 AR's and love them too. In fact, thats the reason I am here....I want an AR-15 A1 to finish out my collection. I was in the military for 25 years and I have one of every style weapon I ever qualified on except the A1.
I know they are hard to find but if anyone has any info on where to find them, or where I can get parts for one as close to original as possible, I would sure appreciate it.

You probably already know this , but the
closest you can get without building a rifle
is a Colt SP1 - used they go for $1200 and up.

If you gotta have the forward assist you will
have to use a new upper or find an old one on
the auction boards.

A1 stocks,sights, and flash hiders aren't hard to get,check the for sale boards.
