I was recently at Galyan's (sporting goods) and they have the Sprngfield line now. I noticed that have the XD for $399! Damn! How can you beat that?

That's a great price and I'd snap it up in a hurry. The XD (HS2000 AKA Croation Sensation) is a fantastic pistol and a world class firearm. I've had a Gen 1 HS since they hit the shelves and it's been absolutely reliable and fun to shoot.

I just bought the xd40 with the 4 inch barrel, on monday for $429. So I would say $399 is a great deal. I have not had a chance to fire it yet but will do so this weekend.

If your post is still active monday night I will give you a report on how it shoots.

Bye the way I bought the od green one, I'm starting to love these new colored guns.

I paid $229 for my HS2000 NIB about a year and a half ago.

The HS2000 also does not have a LIFETIME WARRANTY either.  $399 is a good price for an "in store" price in fact I have only found 1 store in Houston that sells em that cheap.  It can be had for $375 online but the shipping and transfer fees make the $399 plus tax a better deal.

Bullshit, the HS2000 always had a lifetime warranty and Springfield Armory is honoring the warranty on the HS2000.

As Hiram says, the Croation Sensation by any other name still has a lifetime warranty. Surprisingly few people have need it though.

Paid $435 for my XD-40. Well worth it. I intend to buy the XD-45 when it becomes available.

the XD9 also accepts the XD40 mags loaded with 9mm. i'm not going to mention the benefits but i'm sure you guys understand what i'm talking about. and for around $400 you get a better glock.

Fired mine for the first time today. 50 rounds (it was cold out) no jams or misfires. All shots hit the target. I was shooting from 25 yards. The grouping could have been better, but like I said it was cold.

Cleaning was a breeze. The powder residue did not make its way down into the internal, as is the case with my S&W. The internals of the slide are smooth enough that cleaning patches do not leave fuzz everywhere.

I am very happy with the pistol, and my buy another one. The friend I was shooting with also liked it and mentioned he may get one before they raise the prise.
