Anyone know where to buy just the boxes for 223
to store ammo on clips, preferably cheap.

Just the cardboards to pack 2 or 3 loaded strippers in to keep them neat and from getting banged up  when I pack them in an ammocan.

12ga shotgun shell boxes are perfect for holding loaded stripper clips. Alternate the layers and you can fit thirteen loaded clips (130 rounds) in each box. Very handy for transporting ammo to the range. Also a compact way to stack loaded clips on a shelf. The boxes will be nice and square and can be stacked. You can pack a case of .223 loaded stripper clips into shotshell boxes and set them on a shelf and to a casual observer it just looks like a few boxes of dove loads instead of a cache of assault rifle ammo.

Loading stripper clips is a good rainy day activity for the kids. Just make sure that all of the clips have ten rounds and that none of the rounds accidently finds it's way into junior's pocket. The teachers and other school natzies would not be happy if evil ammo appeared during show-n-tell at school.

I have plenty of stripper clips and don't need the cloth just want the cardboards that come in the bandoleer kits.
