I just went and picked one up over lunch. They got a bunch of them. Stock is kind of worn but all my #s matched. Bore is in good shape. I will probably throw an ATI or a Choate stock and a 20 rounder fixed mag from Impact Guns on it for fun.

This is a great deal and AIM is a very good company to deal with.  If you are ordering one; however, you need to know that these are "Shooter Grade" SKS and are not returnable, those are the conditons of this sale....if you want to make sure you get a very good to excellent condition, pay $40 more and AIM will get you one.

So what?

It is still an SKS.

$89 is what I paid for my Norinco SKS and I'm still not sure I got my money's worth.

I find myself severely disinclined to pay good money for another one, especially since every Yugo I ever saw had some slob's name scratched into the buttstock with a rusty nail.

I bought one from Century about 3 weeks ago and paid $139 for one with matching #'s. I would jump on the $89 one but to be honest I only want one of them just to have an SKS.

Some may laugh at paying such a princely sum but the one I received was in pretty good condition (no ones name was scratched into the stock). The bore looks real good with no scratches or gouges and seems like very little wear. Bluing is good for an SKS but under a strong light some rust can be found on the outside of the barrel but its not outrageous.

I'm not too crazy about the grenade launcher and the accompanying flip up grenade sight that they are all coming with as they only make the rifle less handy.

Anyone know if the Choate or ATI stocks fit the detachable mag "paratrooper" models ??

I need to get a new stock for mine.

I put an ATI Dragunov style on my Paratrooper. It fits fine.

Thanks for the reply, I've been wanting to confirm this before I order one.
