I've never been much into wheel guns but yesterday I went by the range and they had a used Colt Anaconda. I picked it up and it felt really good, I don't know much about them but now I think I want it. How much is one worth these days? They want $650 for it, what do you think?

$650 sounds good to me if it's in great shape, check to see what they are going for on Gunbroker...

They're fairly decent but Colt wheelguns are WAY overpriced. NIB revolvers are $1,000 here lately. For $650 I could buy a NIB S&W Custom Shop revolver. I won't, but I **could**.  >gg<

Personally, I wouldn't contribute to falsely inflated prices.  My .o2

Too much.  $400 or $450 would be about right.  It looks like a Python, it ain't no Python.

I have an Anaconda and it's great. They stopped making them, but rumor has it they may soon bring them back. The anaconda is a 44mag and the Python is a 357 mag. I paid 600, drove 40 miles to the range and was offered 1,100 for it. Mine has a 8 inch barrel that's factory ported. I have a picture but can't post it, sorry. It's very accurate and real loud indoors. The dealers say it's a collectors' piece,. Don't care I like it and won't part with it.

I also own a Anaconda 44mag. ( can you tell? ) It is one of the only wheelguns I own. I bought it around 92'-93' and paid $425 nib. I couldn't afford a Desert Eagle so I got it instead. Even with a 6" barrel it is a very accurate gun when I do my part! Love the KA-BOOM!!!!
