Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - M1 troubleshooting

i don't know squat about the M1 so heres my question. My father's M1 has always worked fine, but, the other day it starting throwing the 8 rd clip out after every 3 or 4 shots (the remainder were left in the clip) . even tried different clips. should i look at a specific part?

CHange the clip latch spring, and maybe even the clip latch...

sounds like one or both are worn...
