I'm thinking about purchasing a Benelli M3 and have several questions.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Shotgun would be for home defense.

- Pre-ban vs. Post ban, what's the difference
- How to identify ban status
- Street cost on both
- Options to get (I was thinking ghost ring and pistol grip)
- Any advise from the knowledge pool here at AR15.com

If you where considering M3 Look closer at the M1 I bought the M1 with PG and ghost rings after comparing the two..I have no need to select between pump or semi.. The switch for the pump is a little awkward to manipulate in high stress home defense purposes.. If you want to possibly scare someone with the dreaded sound of the pump, just rack the slide... I'm not going to spray any beanbags at a perp,, In my home defense ,,,
