one word on the Beowolf....OUCH.
I did not use my "Past" recoil pad for the 1st mag, and remembered why I have it. I got stupid and used a higher power scope from another AR on this. My glass got kissed by the scope a couple of times. So, I either will strictly stick with a Leupold fixed power (6x42) or maybe an OKO red dot, have not decided. The leupold has something like 3.5" of eye relief. I have one on my Tromix 50AE upper and it works fine. This upper on one of my Cav lowers is a great setup, I am enjoying it vary much. I need to go coyote hunting now.
I also took out the Genghis.....SWEET. but I have been knowing that. I have about 1000 rounds through this upper, and yes it is on another Cav15 lower. I just out a Tasco 3x9 on it. I had a OKO on it. I have also put a Cav comp on it, very effective on helping reduce muzzle jump. I can shoot this one all day. This rifle is becoming one of may favorites to shoot. I have an idea for optics I am going to check into for it.
I decided to have fun with the genghis today. After firing a couple hundred rounds on semi-auto I put a new carrier on it and slapped this baby on a Full Auto lower. SWEEEET. the break is more then effective. I actually noticed that it wants to walk down, not up like most full autos do. After a few mags, I had a problem. A case stuck in the chamber. I was not to surprised. it is wolf ammo (ie: Laquer coated). That is the first time that has ever happened. No biggy, it was easy removed once I got home. If is was to shoot it more full auto, I would want the OKO back on it. but I am happy with just shooting it on semi-auto for now.
