Any opinions on the Ruger PC9 or .40 cal.? Problems with either one, accuracy, etc?

Been looking at those myself but the price tag keeps scaring me off.  Curious what kind of response you get.

They're between $400-$450 here! Do you think they are too much?

I owned a PC4.  It was an excellent gun, very rugged and well designed.  Very PC, but that's Ruger.  I could never find hi-caps for it, and it wasn't all that accurate, but then again, it isn't meant to be, and I never tried a scope on it.

I sold it when I converted to 5.56 and 7.62x39.

I've had 2 PC-9s, and I really liked 'em! They'll take a beating and keep working. The first thing you'll notice when you pick one up is how solid they feel; I swear, it feels like you could drop it off a cliff, and it'd still work. Mine would both shoot 10-rd groups of less than an inch at 25yds, and even USA mags worked in them. If you get one, stick to the 20-rd mags, as the 30-rders stick out too far, and look kinda cheesy in it. A Ruger PC (9 or 4) would be my only choice in a pistol-caliber carbine. The Marlin Camp 9 is/was pretty good too, but nowhere near as durable as the Ruger PCs.
