sometimes at gunshows i see CETMEs laying around on the tables.

they are enticing but the quality looks questionable sometimes.

how would one go about getting a CETME and not getting burned?

Spiff,
try to find a local dealer that gets them from century and test fires them to make sure they are OK.  You may pay a bit more but you won't get screwed as bad.  I saw some of these but from what I remember there was no windage adjustment on the rear sight and the rear sight looked pretty crapy.  Good luck.

Be careful when you choose one.  You might get one with crooked sights.  I shot my buddies and his sights were way off.
