I was wondering if anybody has any experience with the Kolpin Sniper case?  It looks pretty tough and well built.  I was also looking at the Galati rifle case, any experience with that?  There is about a $10 price difference between the two.
Thanks for your help!

There is a thread on this in the Accesories forum.  I've used Galati cases for years and really like them.  However the real operators (Marines) buy the Eagle cases for their M4s.  Read all about it in the Slings&Accesories forum.

Buy the Galati.  I bought mine back in 1988 and it is still going strong, no rips, no tears, no broken zippers, etc.

Galati's are very high quality and I own one of them but they are made in China!

I have two Galati's.  One for the 20" Colt and one for the 2001 LEGP.  Good quality and good features.  Only negative comment is that they are made in China.

Ok, So I have a question on the cases.  I keep my patrol rifle in the trunk.  I have it "Cruiser Ready" meaning 30 Round mag, Magpul in Magazine and Eotech 511 on the flattop mount. I have an old case, and the depth of the case is such that I have a hard time closing the zipper with the magazine in.  Anyone know which cases are deep enough to accommodate the M4 16" with Collapsible stock, with the mag in?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I ordered the same case from Galati in 1998.
Mine is actually labeled King Cases and according to the small tag was Made in Korea.

King cases are a little less well padded than the real Galati's (I have both), but is a fine case. I have several Galati's and none has ever had any problems.

Aladdin, I'd have to check my case when I get home to answer your question.

This won't help Aladdin one bit, but what the heck right?
I just checked my case which is for a 20 inch carry handle with CLE sights.
My non-chi-com case zips up easily with a 30 round mag...must be the thin padding

My 37" Galati case  accomodates my MY  M4 A3 with the Aimpoint ML2 mounted on the ARMS 22M68 and a GI 30 round mag with a magpul on the end inserted with no problem at all.

Michaels of Oregon

makes a pretty decent case, fairly reasonable in price........don't have a URL, but shouldn't be too hard to find.......

Take a look at Eagle and Shooting systems.

These are the two that have held up best for me, and I don't baby them.  They go in the back of the truck, cats use them as scratching posts, they get rained on, mud, snow, dirt, etc.
The color doesn't look new but no problems other than that.

Each has about 10 sizes, as well as drag bags, so should find a size to fit.

Let's see if I've got links figured out.

If you have a compact rifle or carbine go with Eagle.  They cost about 79 dollars and they are high quality.  The best thing is you cannot tell that it is a rifle case, that is why they call them Discreet carry cases.  I have three of them.

www.eagleindustries.com/mainprod.asp?scv=0  click on cases then discreet carry.

I'll give a second for the Blackhawk.  It's a very well made case and holds everthing on the "interior" so you don't look like your putting your AR-15 in the trunk.
