q. shoez,
I know LARRYG, Spade and bigyeti have received and fired their AR-180B's.  If they miss your post, you might give one of them a 'shot' directly !

There's a review from cruffler.com tacked at the top of the AR-10 & AR-180 Forum.

I took mine to the Range on Friday 7/26/02. I like the way the gun handled, functioned. I only had 2 FTF, it was the last round in 2 different 20 round mags. Shooting open sights for me is a chore because I am so used to High Powered Optics. Here are the results using Q3131A @ 100 yards. I can't help but think that the fliers are a result of me and not the rifle.

The more I shoot it, the more I love my 180B.

only weighs 6lbs

uses AR15 mags and trigger group

Lots of storage in the buttstock

just as accurate as my standard ARs

weighs 6 lbs

MORE reliable than AR15s

cleaner gas system then AR15s

take down, field stripping and maintenance are a breeze

weighs 6 lbs

looks and feels like a cheesy toy but when you shoulder and shoot that rifle it feels JUST right.

BTW, IT ONLY WEIGHS SIX POUNDS!!!!

If my AR-180B could cook I'd marry it.

6 lbs is nice too. I enjoy occasionally hiking around the state game lands with a rifle and 6 lbs and a 20 rounder just feels nice.

Open sights are a pain in the ass with my glasses. Too used to scopes.

Doesn't really compare to the old AR18, since the AR18 was full auto.  However, it compares quite nicely to the original AR180.

The only malfunction I have had turned out to be a magazine problem.  I tried another loaded mag and no problem.  I tried the same mag again, and oops, FTF.  Comes up very nicely, right on target.  Easy to draw a bead on the vermin or bad guy.

No, just a windage adjustment.

So, I'm guessing that front sight adj. for elevation like  std. AR's?

I've been eyeballin' these, I think I may make one my next Non-C&R purchase

anyone know of a source in Colorado???

Yes the regualr barrel (there are no options) is chrome lined. Armalite has always made nice guns. I hope they will makea  Picatinny rail or at least a new model of their cheesy 4x scope from the AR180/AR18. I want one of these too...

So solly, that is not true.  The standard barrel is chrome moly, not chrome lined.  Chrome moly is a little more accurate but requires more upkeep than a chrome lined.  I think chrome lined will be an option later.
