Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How many poeple

bought there first rifle or put it to together a few pieces at a time?

I started out buying a striped lower and putting it together over a few months. I then bought a complete upper. I enjoy building stuff and being able to build an AR-15 was even better. I just wanted to know how many others did it this way or just when out bought one. I'm not saying one way is better than the other.

I did the same thing -- now have a few AR's I put together and don't seem to be getting bored with them. I did it because the expense of buying the complete rifle was just a little too high for me plus I could make it the way I wanted it.
