Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - barrel heat up

for some reason my ruger M77 mark 2 barrel heats up fast... after about 5 rounds barrel is warm to the touch, I let it cool for 5 min, then 10 round it gets hotter, after about 20 rounds with cooling every 5 rounds the barrel is now so hot it can cause burns! is this normal with every gun? that means I cant shoot 100 rounds in a day?!?

My SAR-1 gets hot like that.
