All handguard weights are not the same. Something you'd never think of. Heck I would have assumed most handguards were within a 1/2 ounce.

The Bushy A2's rifle handguards I've weighed are from 10.0 to 10.4 ounces. The Armalites weighed from 6.5 to 6.7 ounces for a net savings of at least .2 lbs = 3.2 ounces.

Hows that for $18.00 to $20.00 bucks depending on color choice? I haven't compared carbine handguards.

Maybe the heavier ones help reduce the transfer of heat from the barrel to your hands .

Didn't notice any difference with heat. They have a nice textured finish too, not as slick as the originals.
