recently accuired a scope with a german style rectical  markings are vomz p8x56 anybody ever run across is it a decent quality scope ?

It stands for (Vldansk(?) Optik and Mechanical.
They are one of the better scopes out there for the $$$ In my opinion.
As i'm sure you've noticed, it is a total light dumpster... And Soviet Mil-Spec.
Fingertip adjustments under the caps....

They are fantastic scopes. I had one on a 24" AR for a while. I just sold it to help pay for a SuperSniper, and I regret the hell out of it.

thanks got it with a h&k mount didn't know if I wanted to put it on my 308 g3 clone I guess it was worth the $25 I paid for them
