What did you pay for your MilSpec Operator? A local shop has a mint used one with box and extra mags for $449, and I was wondering if that's a good price.

WOW!!! A Mil Spec Operator for $449 in a steal.  I paid $589 for mine.  If you dont pick it up let me know, I know someone who will.

Remember that the 1911 takes about 500 rounds to break it in.  So if it doesnt function flawlessly thats why.  So many people think its bad and return it.  1911's are great guns but they need to be broken in.  I have over 1000 rounds through my mil-spec without a hitch.

Thanks. The shop usually has great prices on used guns. I picked up a Para-Ordnance P14.45 LDA with two high caps for $429 from them last week and saw the Mil Spec then.

Decisions, decisions. Another local shop has a Para-Ordnance P12 for $350 with one hicap. Also a great price.

I wish your gun shop would move to WY :)

I wish I had the space to shoot here that you have in Wyoming

It's all relative.

If you want to save me from myself I wouldn't be too upset; I bought that Para, a Witness-P, and another Yugo 59/66 last week and really shouldn't spend the money on any more guns right now.

The Mil Spec Operator is at Tanner's in Jameson

The Para-Ord P12 is at Quinby's in Dublin

I've got a 1944 Remington Rand M1911A1. It's not Mil Spec. It's just plain Mil and it's what the original "operators" used. 59 years old and it's still shooting on a regular basis.
