In my experience, sometimes the disconnector tail is not entirely at fault. Even after modifying the disconnector as shown, SAR-(any)s may show none to light slap. If you look to the floor of the trigger where the disconnector spring recess is located, then look aft of the spring recess between the two "tails" that engage the safety, you will see shiny wear at the edge of the floor. I have found that this marred area engages the underside of the disconnector tail just behind the spring hole. Removal of the marred area on the trigger floor significantly reduces if not eliminates the "residual" slap.
Also note that to some degree slap is inherent in the AK. If you cycle the carrier and watch the trigger, you will see if "flip" about 1/8" to 1/4" as the carrier rides back over the hammer and displaces the disconnector rearward (slap!). When the carrier returns forward, the trigger flips forward as the disconnector releases the hammer and the hammer wing(s) engage(s) the trigger hook(s). AKs at Quantico did it, and had varying degrees of a "slap" impulse to the finger.
