Hi all

I've got a Daewoo DR200 and would like to install a Harris bipod on it. The problem is that the handguard is not strong enough to withstand the shock after each round and made a crack on it.

So it looks like the only option is to use Harris No.4 universal adpater to use it but I am not too sure if it's such a god idea to mount a bipod + adapter directly on the barrel.

I've heard that it's not a good idea to mount a bipod directly on barrel and it might also effect the accuracy of a rifle.

Is it true that mounting a bipod directly on the barrel of the rifle is a no-no??

Looking at AKs & RPDs, they all mount bipods on their barrels.

Does any one know whether it's ok to use or not??

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

PS) I've mistakenly post the same thing on General Discussion section. Sorry guys.
