Got a Star Mod B 9mm, CZ 52 in 7.62 x 25, a Yugo SKS. I want to get a 9 mm SMG thats on the list , I see them in the $1500-2500 range.
Anyone got any experience using a C&R to get
one. Whats the difference between C&R select fire and regular Class 3 transfer?

If you get a C&R NFA, you're able to have it directly x-ferred to you on a Form 4 without having to go through a dealer. Saves time. You still have to get finger printed, photographed, and the CLEO sign-off. However, with a C&R license, you may travel interstate without having to file a 5320.

The cheapest C&R subgun I can think of is the H&R Reising .45 ACP Smg. They run about $2100 but mags are really hard to find and very expensive.

Other C&R eligible subguns and machine guns:

MP-40 $8000
1921 Thompson $18,000
1928 Thompson $10,000
M1 Thompson $9000
Colt/Armalite AR-15 Mdl.01 $10000
S&W 76 $3500
STEN MkII $4000

There are lots more, but these are some of the more common ones. Note that the prices are for origional examples, not tube guns or conversions, which are not C&R Eligible
