I just got a brand new one for free from a friend.  I only had to pay for the registration/back ground check fee.

What do you all think of this gun?

It's my dream choice of a .45
You done REAL good!
Maybe someday I'll get to have one, too.

The Cougar was my first .45cal.  I love this gun.  Good choice.  I got mine when it first released and I've just started to see more of them.

If you like, fine. They don't balance well for me. Probably the bit thicker slide. Most owners seem to like them though.

You're gona have to stay after cleaning the rotary barrel lugs.  The 8045 will run about 250 rounds before the cycling starts to slow down and eventually FTF.  Col. Santose and I each got an 8045 at about the same time a few years ago and we had similar experiences.

We both liked the way the Cougar .45 felt in our hands and accuracy was acceptable to good.  I still carry mine occasionally but both of us eventually migrated to USP.45C's.

The Beretta is a well-built pistol.  You'll enjoy owning it.

**edited to say Good Morning, Bob.**
