How often should I clean my USGI mags (ar)?

I seldom, never clean Ak mags, or the Ak for that matter.

Clean the Ar after every visit to the range, was wondering how often the mags should get cleaned.

never cleaned any of my AR mags, just wipe the follower & feed lips clean every year or so.  -- if they don't bind, you are good to go -- if I need to clean a mag,(stens from TAPCO) I disassemble and boil the parts in soapy water then reassemble. A good mag won't need any oil. Good shooting, ALLONS11

I clean mine about once a year or so. I would imagine a bit of spraying with brake cleaner would suffice but I like to see the insides & know they're clean!
Of course here in TN there's not too much dust so one's milage will vary.
