I know, I know this is an AR board but so what? This AK is totally SWEET! Detailed review and range report to follow.

Yup, that's a fluted and cryo'd barrel!

If there is one thing you MUST BUY, it's a Red Star Arms trigger!...SWEET!

Another cool view...notice the upturned charging handle.

SAI Muzzle Brake was turned on a lathe by Gary Gucciano for a slimmer profile. Very Subtle.

I used an "Intrac MKII" for this project

I saw it in one of your other posts, Ray, and think it is a real beauty. Gary is building me the same thing in 7.62X39 with a 90° gas block (AK-103 clone). I hope mine turns out that well. Gary did some work on another rifle of mine in the past and it was awesome to say the least. I just cannot figure out how you already have your rifle when I paid my bill in full a month before you.

Nice rifle! Man those AK-74's are great. After getting to shoot one it didn't take long to sell my 7.62X39 AK and get one. Let us know how it shoots. Mine shot great right out of the box, and is MUCH more accurate than I thought it was going to be.

And yes, that red star arms trigger is amazing. I bought a US made group from K-VAR when I did the conversion on mine (thumbhole stock to pistol grip) and after shooting the red star arms one I wish I would have got one of theirs instead.

Mine was a rebuild from an "Intrac MKII" donor rifle, so there was really not that much to do. If he's doing a project for you "from the ground up", the wait of course will be longer. You'll also get his G2 in a triangle arsenal stamp(much cooler IMHO!) instead of his "SAI Redo" stamp which I got hidden on the barrel underneath the handguards.
Trust me, you'll be happy with what you get back

Mr Waverunner, beautiful rifle!!! How long did it take to get your rifle back? From the time you sent it, to the time it got back into your hands? I'd like to get one done by him.

Question about the trigger group pic...
