Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Beretta 92 serial numbers...where to find?

I am looking to find out how old my Beretta 92F is, but can't seem to find a web site that has serial number lists.

Does anyone know?

This pistol was made in the 80's and is a 92F, not an FS.  To the best of my knowledge it was made in Italy and imported.

I don't have mine right here in front of me, but IIRC, it has USA before the S/N.  (It's also a 92F)

Apologies...I may not have been entirely clear.  I know where to find the serial number on the gun, but I'd like to find a web site that will tell me when the gun was made based on the serial number.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
