I believe I located some USGI mags in very good condition, just some finish wear. I don't have a M14 or M1A1 so I,m thinkin I could pick these up to trade for AR15 mags. Did I mention I (think) can get these M14 mags REALLY cheap 'cause they don't know what they're selling. What is the going rate for M14 mags from the internet or gun shows ??? Thanks for any info or advise.

$30 to $35 for GI mags, in good shape.  Shoot me an Email if you want to trade some mags, I may be interested.

My local FFL sells them for $40-$45 depending on condition.

I have two AR's and two M1A's and am not nearly the magaholic with the Springfields as with the Black Rifles.

Be sure they are M-14 mags and not FAL mags for so cheap. I know a guy who made this mistake.

It's very easy to tell a metric FAL mag from an M1A mag. The M1A mag has a rectangular locking lug that's attached to the magazine body. It's about 3/4" long, 1/4" wide and is located about 1/4" from the top of the mag body. The FAL mag has a much smaller lug that's punched out of the mag body itself. However, inch pattern FAL mags have a lug similar to the M1A, but it's much wider. But for inch mags the floorplate is wider than the mag body, so you can always tell that way.

Anyway, figure $35-$45 depending on wear.

How much are dated 1977 still sealed in fabric wrap m14 mags worth?

Imbroglio, Cole's has them for $44.95, so figure that is the high end of the range.

Hell our local gun store (which has outragious prices) sells used ones for $75 and NIW USGI for $140---isn't that crazy.  Dumbass won't budge on his prices either

You said they were USGI.  Make sure that is the case.  Those non GIs are not worth a shit.

If you are interesting in trading I'll give you two like new AR GI mags with green followers for every M-14 mag.

Something similar happened to me at a gun show once.  A dealer had 11 USGI mags, used but in VGC, and he had a bunch of Chinese mags.  He somehow got it all confused and was asking $17 for the USGIs and something like $10 for the Chinese mags.  I asked him three times if the price was correct, and he even verified it with another guy behind the counter.  I asked him more than once because I knew what they were worth and I did not just want to take him for a ride in case they screwed up.  Anyway, I walked out of there with 11 USGI mags fro $17 a piece.  When you see ridiculous prices at gun shows, it is a great feeling to find some deals.

All of the 20rd Chinese mags I've seen are of high quality. The 5 & 10rd mags are built well too but are a bit tight in the mag well.
