Need a price check on a Nickle Plated 1911.Its got a 5in barrel. Its an older gun and  hasnt had any upgrades.Id say its in almost 99% condition.Askin price 700.00..Is this too much? The reason I was wonderin is because I saw a Series 80 Colt sell last week for 550 and the blue was wore bad in several spots. Not really big on Colts but it would go good in my Pimp gun collection. All it needs is a set of Pearl grips.Later,Chris

Nickle is the worst finish on a gun, IMO. It scratches most easily. IMO a better preice would be in the $500 range.

Too much for std nickle 1911, buy an NM series80 , much better gun that should hit a target at 50yds.

FWIW, I'll take a series 70 1911 over a series 80 anyday, that's why the 70's bring more $ on resale.
