I've been thinking  (I know that's dangerous) about getting a .458 SOCOM upper for my Bushy. Anybody familiar with it? I'd like some feedback before I spend the bucks.

I haven't seen the 50 Beowulf. Does it use AR mags like the .458 SOCOM?

Have you tried the 50 Beowulf upper from Alexander Arms yet? I shot that badboy at the BRC and it just plain rocks!

Too cool.  Would this thing work with a forged Oly lower?  Are there subsonic loads available?

Did they indicate what the price might be?  The web site skirts the issue...

Any reason to prefer one over the other in terms of reliability, parts availability, or ammo availability?  They both look quite imposing.

I think you'll have a better selection of bullets with the .458 SOCOM, due to the several current .45 cal rifle cartridges.
