Zippy, usually DSA is considerably less B/O on the Type I receivers. Unless you plan to use as a select-fire weapon, the Type I receiver shouldn't matter.

I called DSA and checked on the availability of the Type I receivers...no go.
6-8 week backlog on both Type I&II receivers. 2-4 on Type III. Just in case y'all care... |

Don't worry, it will be worth the wait. My DSA STG type 3 was suppossed to be 4-6weeks backordered, but I got it in exactly 2 weeks. It is easily one of the most beautiful rifles in my collection. |
