I was shooting some federal magnum buckshot and I had a failure to extract and I also had it happen a few times with s&b buck any ideas It never has happened with birdshot, the gun is pretty beat up and has lots of rounds through it, is it operator error or is something worn out?

I'd remove the extractor from the bolt, inspect for wear, check the spring is working OK, and replace it if necessary. If the shell stays in the gun, then the extractor is not grabbing it.
