Any put a mag Ext. on there 1187.
I got one and the directions say that I have to
file down the dimples inside the Original mag. tube so the new plug will be able to flow all the way through.

I didn't know that you have permitly modify the gun when I bought the Ext.

I`m pissed, I wanted to be able to pull it off if I needed to and use it as a back up hunting gun.

Regarding modifying your 1187 to fit the mag ext tube.  I installed a 5 round extension tube on my 1187.  yes you have to grind off the dimple inside.  I used a dremel tool.  If you later decide to go back to the original spring and threaded cap you wont have a problem, Its just that the cap would hold everything in place instead of the dimple inside the tube.
