Bisley config is excellent for high-power handguns.
However, I have reservations about carrying a SA revolver for use in the outdoors where rapid second shots may be required.
Or quick first shots, for that matter.
I would suggest that your needs may be better served by a DA revolver, preferably with the Bisley grip/hammer configuration.  
To my thinking, a camping revolver must be quickly useable thus leaving the SA revolver by the wayside.
Barrel length is critical to achieving proper terminal ballistics from any round.  I'm afraid that those extra inches at the muzzle are all-important.
It is one thing to hunt deer with an SA handgun secure in the knowledge that there are no predators (four or two-legged) around.  It's quite another to be able to accomodate other possible scenarios.  I'd go DA. YMMV.

You may find that the Blackhawk grips are so close to the Bisley style that you will not notice any difference.  Aftermarket grips/inserts may actually make the Blackhawk fit your hand better than the Bisleys.
Remember, the Bisley grip came about from the target shooters attempt to remedy the plow handle grip previously used on SA revolvers.
Most modern, large caliber revolvers' grips are derivitives of the Bisley, not the plow handle grips.
