No, it's very UN-safe. Imagine opening the gun with cocked hammers, and somehow a hammer drops, and fires a round while it's partialy open. KA-BOOMEY right in the face.
If you check your Norinco, you'll probably find it has rebounding hammers. When the hammer hits the firing pin it "bounces" back, or rebounds away from the firing pin, and usually is held there. |

yes it does have rebounding hammers, now i understand where they are going with that. its weird though it has a trigger safety and a safety that pulls the pins in so the hammers cannot touch them.
