For anyone looking, that SIR only looks cool because Hawkeye helped me put it on. If he didnt, I'd still be sitting here, week or more later, filing  away at the delta ring with an emory board! Hahaha! Thanks again for your help!

Boomer, Boomer, play nice now.  LOL.  And since you're here, maybe you can help me out with something.  What are model numbers to Colts 16" Gov'-type uppers, both pre and post ban?  Thanks

How do you define 16" Gov'-type upper?

Pre-ban:

R-6001 (AR-15 Carbine) used a 16" lightweight barrel with 1/12 twist.

R-6420 (AR-15 Carbine), R-6520 (AR-15A2 Gov't Carbine), and R-6530 (Sporter Lightweight) all used a 16" lighweight barrel with 1/7 twist.

R-6721 (AR-15A3 tactical Carbine) used a 16" HBAR with 1/7 twist.

Post-ban

MT6530 (Match Target Lightweight) used a 16" lightweight barrel with 1/7 or 1/9 twist

MT6731 (Match Target Competition HBAR II) used a 16" HBAR with 1/9 twist

Other

Then we get to the various 16" M4 types, found in both 1/7 and 1/9 twist.

A little 3 year old gremlin was assisting me with the pics. He thought it would be funny to pull on my leg right about the time I snapped the pic, hence the shoes.

Mine arent purple. They are actually quite black. I think that was some bad film. I had about 4 or 5 pics that didnt turn out at all on it.

I remember that. Dr. Zox used come up with weird photoshopped ARs. Whatever happened to him?

Hey Hawkeye1, how do you like the SIR? was it worth the $$? How's does it handle? Does it feel awkward or bulky? I'm trying to decide between the SIR and one of KACS freefloated RAS.

Hey Hawkeye1... Get down offa that chair before you bust yer arse!

Was using my wifes stupid camera and had to stand in the chair. Hard to explain.

The SIR is New-ARGuys. I just helped him install it. I do like it though. Very nice. The RAS is nice as well. Is a hard call to me. The SIR is a bit different though. Not everyone has one yet.
