Sniper_Wolfe, both the Beretta 92 and the Glock 17 are excellant handguns. Hi cap Mags are cheeper for the Beretta though
 . My suggestion is to pick the one that gives you the best fit. The one that just feels "good" in your hand. ............ahhhhh  |

You can’t go wrong with either of those weapons. Both are excellent. The Glock has fewer controls and is, in my opinion, easier to manipulate under stress. The Beretta has a better trigger, but the first shot is double action. The Glock has the same trigger pull always. Personally, I find the Glock much quicker to operate on the draw and first shot.

Beretta has manual safety and standard double action/single action trigger. Cheaper high cap mags.
Glock has the same trigger pull each time, but it isn't a sweet trigger, in my opinion (try both and see-I think Beretta is worse on the first shot, better after that). Glock has no external safety. I think the hi caps would be more for the glock. Some people think the angle of the grip to the barrel in the Glock is better. Although I prefer glocks, I have a Beretta 92 and it's a perfectly fine gun. Either gun should be reliable accurate and enjoyable to shoot. Can you either rent them at a range or mooch some trigger time with a buddy's? |

I've got big hands, so it isn't a problem for me, but the Beretta is a BIG gun with a BIG grip. Even the large-caliber Glocks (G20 & G21) have smaller grips. That may be an issue for you, so try one out. The Beretta also has lots of sharp edges.
For something very similar (but IMO better than) the Beretta, take a look at the CZ75B. It's got the best factory double-action trigger anywhere, and is such a good design that there were at least 8 companies making clones of it before the wall fell and they became available here. -Troy |

Get the one that feels best. Shoot both if you get a chance. Then make your decision |

best advice someone can ever give you on what gun to purchase is this
Go to a range that rents guns or find a friend that has one like the model u want and try it. |

A Walther P99: Three different back-straps plus four different height front sights. Small hands and a very good feel with the shortest reach for me that is. Double action only, double/single action and something called a quick action which is similiar to the Glock.

Buy a H&K. I've owned Glock, Sig, & still own a Beretta. The H&K shines above all of them.
