Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Diff between Cast / Forged PWA preban Lower ?

Hoping someone here can help me out in figuring out how to tell if a preban PWA lower in the 12,9xx serial number range is cast or forged.  I'm just not sure of what to look for.  Anyone with any ideas?

I've never seen a cast PWA - Not sure they ever made them. However, the way to tell is to look at the logo (not the serial number). If it's forged, the logo will be stamped into the lower, the letters and logo will be recessed. If it's cast, the logo and letters will be raised.
