I am sure most of you have seen the gun that "Tony" uses in the end too fight of the rival gang it looks like a M-16 with a gernade launcher underneath what are these guns called they said it was a M-14 on the history channel and that can't be right. What ever it is it looks like a great gun too have too bad I will never own one. And gernades look like they are handy too have!

I think it was an M16 with M203 (the 40mm grenade launcher).

Has anyone ever shot one of those 40mm grenade launchers they look like alot of fun, do they really do that much damage could they take out a tank? If I was ever in combat that is one weapon I would like too have on my side.

DFW Gunrange in Dallas claims that this is the M-16 from Scarface. They rent it out.

Must have a new lower on it, if it's really the gun used in the movie.

I didn't think fenced lowers came along until the late 80's.

I saw that too. He used the m16/203 in the movie. The HC said he suffered 2nd degree burns from a "M-14 Machine Gun"???

How many grenades do you get with the rental?

the 203 is cool. when you are designated the genadier for your fireteam you think "coool, i got the ass-kicker" then after your first hump you just want rid of the S.O.B.

My friend says his favorite weapon in Nam was the 40mm.

You ought to get yourself an M-16.

You got a picture of an Aug w/ m203.. I would like to see that setup.

It was an M16A1 20" barrel etc, w/ m203 underneath..

M203 has to have been the most enjoyable weapon I've ever fired and carried (I liked firing the M60 more, but never enjoyed carrying it).  Its just *thump* and watch the round sail to the target.

To a tank? A 40mm grenade won't do diddly squat . It's more of a weapon for clearing out personnel inside bunkers and other gun installations. To use it against a tank? The guy would probably laugh and run you over. If you wanna fight a tank, give me a ma-deuce and an mk-19. Then maybe i'll have a chance.

Fenced lowers came around in the 60's.

I don't think the "fence" came in until the mid 70's, but Tony's gun defiantly had a "fence". Don't show real well here, but it's there.

Sights don't look quite right as in bunghole's pix however. I'm gonna have to stop by DFW Gunrange next time I'm in Hyphen-ville. (That's Dallas-FtWorth for all you non-Texicans.)

Later . . . Doug . . . .

Movie trivia: Al Pachino burned his hand badly during the making of the film while inadvertently grabbing the hot barrel after finishing a scene. Filming was delayed while Al mended.
