Can I buy a pre-ban Govt Carbine?  Is it legal to own?  I need a quick response, thanks!!!

Yes it is legal to own.  Check the information section of this website and look under preban Serial numbers.

I looked on biggerhammer.com and the SN is pre-ban, I was just concerned with the Govt Carbine label.  Thanks!

That label is used for classifying the model.

Only be concerned if it says "LEO" only.

Cool, thanks!  It is up on a private auction and my in-laws want to bid on it.  Looks very minty.  What is a good price?  Thanks again, this is all stuff I should know.  I am getting the model number, that may help.
