I have been waiting on this scope along with several other people I've talked to.  I received an e-mail from Springfield Armory yesterday stating that they are now filling backorders and that new orders will take about 45 days.

Can't wait to stick it on my new flattop upper!

Do you mean the "4-14x40 Tactical Government Model Scope (#GE5090)" scope?

Here ya go.  I have ordered and paid for mine and been waiting for it now for about 60 days.  Can't wait to get my hands on it.  Testimonial: A buddy of mine to a Coyote, one shot, 560 meters!

How much does one of those cost ?

When it states it's
"ballistically tuned for 5.56mm match ammo"
what load is that for ???

You can't beat the price, approx. $349.

I believe they are speaking of the 69gr. match round, but I can't say for sure.  I will need to look into that when I receive the scope.

AR, I would be very interested in hearing a range report on the scope.  I don't have a flattop yet, but had already decided on the Springfield scope when I get one.  Will you need risers or taller rings when mounting this ??

Thanks,
Rangedog

Their website lists it at $426.  Is your price direct from Springfield?

I just purchased one from Kieslers for $319 as this was the best price I could find.  Likewise this is for my flat-top project that I've been working on for almost 3 years now.  This scope is the last item on my list.

Have you decided on a mount yet?  I've read some good things about Armalite's 1 piece model www.armalite.com/sales/catalog/components/mounts_rings.htm model EX0027.  I haven't really made up my mind yet, I'll see what I find at the funshow this weekend.

I am using ARMS mount #36 swan sleeve with the ARMS #22 quick detach rings and ARMS #37 inserts (converts the rings from 30mm to 1").

I will be more than happy to comment on the scope once I have had a chance to spend a good bit of time with it at the range.  Hopefully I will be receiving it by next week.  However I will be on vacation after next week for another two weeks, but I will post my results/opinion as soon as I test it.

The price I gave was just an average of what I have found it for.  I gave $349 for mine from a local dealer.
