Ken's right - and everyone should pay very close attention to what'll happen if gunowners vote for 3rd party candidates.
Guys, it's very simple - vote Republican in the next several elections, or kiss your 2nd Amendment rights goodbye.
History is usually the best teacher, so why didn't we learn from it? Take a look at the '92 election, and at the votes the Republican Party lost to Ross Perot. How many votes were "lost" during several elections to the Libertarian Party that could have been used to pack the House and Senate with pro-gun, or at the very least, not "anti-gun" members? The answer is TOO MANY. And who do we have to blame but ourselves?
So what if the Bush Administration is for this or that? Last time I checked, 42% of the citizens of this nation own some sort of firearm. Now THAT'S a voting base! Let anyone try to go against us if we stand (and speak) as one voice. If everyone that owns a firearm voted, you wouldn't have to worry about what the administration wanted - you'd have a mandate on Capitol Hill...figure out which is more important.
Do all Republican candidates support gun ownership? Of course not - but did a Democratic and Libertarian-packed House Of Representatives get together and form a "Contract for America?"
Face facts - everyone has to vote as one large voice. If we can accomplish that, we will get our rights back.
