I just purchased a preban Eagle Arms AR 15.  Fortunately the guy had the original box.  On the box it states

M15-A2 Carbine
1/9 Moly

Does the Moly refer to the barrel being chromed or not?

Chrome Moly Vandium Steel.

yes, chrome lining.

Eagle Arms did not make barrels w/out chrome lining.
