How many AR's do you have and how many have you owned?  I think I have a sickness,  I have 5 now but I have had 3 bushmasters, 2 Colts, 2 DPMS, 2 Essential Arms and Rock River Arms and a Olympic, the Hesse does not count as an AR.  I think I need a support group...

I was just wondering if there were anymore WACO's like me out there?

See the current thread called AR Obsession.  I confessed my "sins" there and was mocked for only purchasing my 3rd AR.

I have one Bushy Preban, one Bushy postban.
And 4 stripped Bushy Lowers that long await a weapons kit.

I have owned two AR's. Sadly, only one at a time.

Only one....postban too.

my count is now (7).. (5)pre-ban various mfg/configs & (2)post bull bbls + (1) post lower awaiting an upper assy.

I have not, and never would consider parting with any AR I acquire..

I do not consider Our fondness for AR's an addiction or obsession.. it is simply "being a connoisseur of the finer things in life".

Two total, still own both and won't sell them. (I can't legally sell the one I made from a lower receiver forging anyway...it's mine forever or until it's inherited.)

With just two, I've only just begun!   I have plans to cut another lower using better machinery, and I am looking for a good used A2 upper (no barrel), and nearly everything else, if the price is right.  I make a game out of seeing how cheaply I can put something together for.   I estimate my AR built on the homemade receiver cost me under 400 bucks total.  I want to beat that.

I thought that too, but have reconsidered now.  Why?  Well because Class III firearms cost lots of $ and I really have no need for multiple prebans.

Now if someone will go buy my guns.

Sadly, "sniff"-"sniff"-- I only own one, but in the process (don't let my bride read this) of owning another or two.  I want a M4gery real bad but don't know which one yet.  Never built one but that sounds interesting too. Pre ban, post ban????  Decisions, decisions.  There are alot of choices for sure.  I don't really know that much about them, but I'm learning so much just by reading the posts on this site.  Alot of good info here.

I currently have 2 a Pre ban Bushmaster and an RRA/Colt. I have owned a total of 5. A variety of brands. 1 Colt, 2 Bushmasters, 1 PWA/Colt and 1 RRA/Colt. It's really hard to say which one is the best but my current favorite is the RRA/Colt because it is in the A1 configuration.

I own 3 total. I've had a Bushy post ban for a long time.  Then all of a sudden I bought a preban SP1 and one week later I bought a preban CAR.  I need to stay away from the shop for a while.  I was going to Knob Creek to shoot the other day but the river was up and the bridge was under water.  Going through withdrawals..........ahhhhhhh!

6, all pre-ban, I did, however work for a ranch for some period of time before we had a mutual agreement that I should never come back that had at least 34 prebans (mine was #34) issued to people who worked for them.

Chairborne, I thought you only owned Colts.

I've owned four total. Two presently. Plan on many more. I'm only 27 so I figure I've got some time.

As a general rule.  But damn Colt never made a 180 or a 10!  Besides, nuthin' wrong with slumming it now and then!

It has occurred to me that there may be a market for doing specially priced pre/postban conversions on barrels when the ban sunsets.

I have (or have access to) all the necessary tools to thread a barrel, install a flash hider, and properly install a new sight base with a bayonet lug.

Working on just barrels or upper receivers doesn't require you to be a licensed gunsmith, either.

Maybe when the time comes I'll make an offer to do these conversions at a price that just makes it worth my while.  A few bucks plus the parts.

Right now, I have 5 counting a stripped RRA lower. Through the years, I've had 5 Colt's, two Bushy's, two PWA's, two Oly's, an Essential Arms, two RRA's, two DPMS's, and an Eagle Arms.
I sold a lot of pre-bans before there was a ban. I sure wish I hadn't done that!

I have a colt preban Hbar and a bushy M4 14.5 inch carbine with a brake. The colt stays in the safe being a bit to pricy to plunk with , the bushy went out to play again today and just loves to get dirty. I may need to build a colt postban M4 some day, as I love the configuration and like colt products a lot.

Why do you want to know????  Are you an agent??? (LOL)

What's this about "owned"?  That implies no longer have, gone.....my policy about 'firearms', once I get, it stays.  Period.

Currently own only one, a Preban Colt CAR-15.  Have owned preban Oly CAR-15 and Bushy Shorty AK.  My first AR was the Oly, traded it and got the Bushy because I wanted a "serious" AR.  But I missed having a collapsable stock so I traded it and now have the Colt.

Well technically none, zero, nada, that's on the books that is. Bad thing about these is once I bought my first one, it must of been part rabbit...she multiplied a few times.

Also I'm not at liberty to tell.

Just one preban colt right now. I plan on buying another preban and building 2 after I finish college. I agree with kaliburz - once I buy a gun it stays. I never plan on selling any of my guns.

As far as on the yellow paper I have none. Now I only built enough to arm my fellow neighbors in case of shtf.
