i heard that there might soon be a ban on 7.62x39 hollow point,can you fill me in?

maybe you are correct, but sounds like hype to me:

And Gary Hart was rumored to have proposed a Kalifornia statewide ban of all hollowpoint ammo.  More hype.

i read it on a site that sells ammo ,i forgot the name though.

It could of been some company looking to unload some of their ammo a little bit quicker and a little bit more expensive then normal. I haven't heard anything about it being banned, but that doesn't mean it might not happen one day soon.
