I am new to FALs and saw on DSA's website that they offer the STG-58 in two versions--Type 1 and Type 2. What exactly are the differences? Thanks!

It refers to the "type" of receiver. Type 1, 2, or 3. Type 3 was last design. Imbel is a Type 3. Type 2 was only made for a short time. Type 1 is the original. DSA is copying all three FN designs now.
