Going through boss's brother's storage room the other day, helping him move.

Came across 3 cans of Army-issue "rifle bore cleaner" - 1 opened, 2 full sealed cans.  He gave me the cans, saying that's all he used on both his M16 and M3A1, but couldn't remember when he got them.  He served in 'Nam 70-71(?) and put in 4-6 more years after his tour.

Cans are typical Army green quart cans.  The opened can's contents smell exactly like LSA.  Wording says:

51-C-1313-400
CLEANER
RIFLE BORE (CR)
SPEC. JAN-C-372
1 QT.

BATCH NO. 8235
CONTRACT DA-28-024-ORD-2810

R.M. HOLLINGSHEAD CORP.
CAMDEN, N.J., U.S.A.

Any ideas what this "cleaner" might be?
