I'm getting my older brother into shooting and he wants a handgun.  Between me and my twin we have about every major make so we took him out shooting to try them out.  His favorite was the Beretta 92F I have.  He wants one in stainless, but there is a 92F Brigadier for sale, and as far as I can tell the only difference is the heavier slide.  The part of the Beretta USA website with handguns has been down so no info there.  Anybody know anything?  Thanks.

The brigadier is just the regular 92/96 but with a heavier, reinforced slide and sights that are in regular dovetails so they are easier to change.

I have a Beretta Elite w/ Brigidiar Slide in .40 S&W , I guess you would say Beretta 96. It is a very well balanced pistol.  Aside from the increased structure, the added weight feels better.

The 96 Brigadier was designed for the INS (border patrol). They requested a heavier slide and removeable front sight. I assume that the 92 is the same.
